Name servers can be anybody's or anywhere. The domain could be hosted by one company, and the name servers held by another. As far as i understand, the name server is where all the dns entries are stored. At registrar level, you'd point the domain to a name server, the name server holds the DNS entries, and sends you to the correct IP. So it doesn't matter where it is, so long as it point to an IP. My domain for instance is registered through 123-reg.co.uk, i pointed the nameserver to my own dedicated server, where i hold my own name server and dns enties. This server is in a data centre hosted by some-hosting-company.uk

Hello, Also if want to get the exact web host info means who is hosting the domain then you can do track down the DC with the help of traceroute or by checking the whois info of the domain IP. Thank you.
