    Sounds like some sort of fraud email. Have you tried resetting that users password again manually? I think you should.

    Yes i have changed it again. i thought it was odd because i have never seen an email like this before. PS the host and I.P was from the chap working on the customers site.

    Did you get another similar email? cPanel login email notices have recently had some style and additional details added to them.

    Hello, To note, yes, it's possible for a cPanel user to reset their password. You can browse to the "System" tab under "WHM >> Tweak Settings" and disable the following option if you want to disable the ability for users to reset their password: "Email password reset" Thank you.

    The other method a cPanel user can change their password is through the "Change Password" option after they successfully authenticate into cPanel. You can disable this feature via "WHM >> Packages >> Feature Manager" if you want to prevent cPanel users from changing their password (it's listed as "Password Change"). Thank you.

    Yes the one i posted here says it changed it for the following services: ftp mail MySQL in cpanel it only changes the cpanel password.

    Right, that's normal. Changing the cPanel password automatically updates the user's password in other services connected to the account username. Thank you.

    @albeyan2 - if you didn't make this change, and aren't sure who did, the account should be treated as compromised until you confirm otherwise.
