How to block IP range with Global Email Filters?
I'd like to block a range of ip addresses starting with 31.204.159.0 to avoid additional spam using the Global Email Filters. What's the recommended settings for creating a filter?

Thanks Dan. I had already checked out those threads. I don't have admin permissions as I'm on a shared hosting account. CIDR ranges didn't work with the Global Email Filters, only IP Blocker. However, I've been in touch with their tech support and trying this method: Rules ------------------------------------------------------------------- Any Header > contains IP address with last three digits and decimal point removed 27911 0 -
Hello, I am happy to see you found an alternative for shared hosting customers. Feel free to let us know the outcome. Thank you. 0 -

Hello @Chuck Spidell If you even get notified of my reply,...- ]
- Your post is 6 years old, and change happens, and I am wondering Were you able to make that work? i.e. ###.###.###.blank
- Are they still working?

@iNiC - I believe we covered this in your other post here: https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/global-email-filters-not-working-any-more.688389/ but let me know if you need anything else! 0 -

Hi and thanks for the very fast response @cPRex The two are, in my mind, 2 separate things. Here I ask how to block a range of IPs because the response you refer to as being duplicate is about the wildcards no longer working, and there was no explanation how to use a range of IPs. Too, Dan uses the ###.###.###.blank as example instead of * and I asked if that was still working. Some I still won';t know if leaving a octet blank will cause it to work in lieu of a *. ~i p.s. I found a article that explained how to enter a IP range i.e. 123.456.789.111/24 etcetera. I'm learning, but hoped I wouldn't have to :)0 -
Is the CIDR notation working well for you at this time in that field? 0 -
Yes. CIDR seems to be working but covers a wider range that is necessary, but no spam is better. 0
