can't login via root on whm/shell

Hello I can't login via whm or shell. I host directly via the data centre so no hosts. How can I login, when it won't let me? I have tried whm and shell. Any ideas?

  Hello :) What specific error message do you receive when attempting to access your server via SSH or WHM? Is it a connection refused message, a time out, or an authentication failure? You may need console access to the server to address the issue if you can't connect through WHM or SSH. Thank you.

  Not wishing to appear rude or condescening, but i note that you are new to the forum. Are you also new to WHM ? I experienced something very similar when i first started, all of which was related to security and hacking attempts of my server.
