Two of my web sites are mail order companies with strict cut off times for recieving orders.

Do you see any email in the GreyListing Report that indicates emails to them are being flagged?

I'm not sure to be honest. I can see in the report emails being deferred. Until i can be sure that nothing is being delayed too much, I've disabled it, so the report below may be relected in that. never spotted that upload button.

edited Assuming that sales@ email shown is the email you're concerned with, you can disable GreyListing for that domain if you wish.

I guess until GreyListing has had a half decent chance to build it's own database, there are bound to be some delays. Which then takes me back to my original question. What would be considered a reasonable or the bare minumum defer time. If the idea of GreyListing is because spammers don't retry, then could the defer be dropped to the lowest possible defer time.

But what about lowering the deferral at my end, what would be a reasonable time without stalling email transport. Also, would changing the "Resend Acceptance Period" to a lower number help.

Hello :) It won't deliver the message faster because, as you mentioned, you don't control the retry configuration on the sending server. Lowering the "Initial Deferral Period (in minutes)" value to 5 minutes won't speed up mail delivery unless the sending server has a five minute retry time. Lowering the "Resend Acceptance Period" value would actually make it harder for senders with higher retry configurations to have their email accepted. Thank you.
