Backup failed: no space left on device
Seems obvious what the issue is, but here's my df.
/backup and /home2 are on a separate drive than everything else. There is already a monthly copy in backup, it's 15gb so the daily should be about the same. It did not gzip any of the 5 accounts on the server.
Any idea why? To give you an idea on how big the zips are:
host2 root [/] # df -h

Hello :) You can review the backup logs in the following directory: /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup Which account did the backup generation fail at? Thank you. 0 -
hi, that code doesn't work for me, I am trying to restore a backup but when i try to restore the backup, i get an error advising that i only have about 2gb space left and i need around 10gb to restore the backup. I have configured my backups in cpanel to backup every week and keep 3 months of backups. I have been given, by my hosting providers support, a list of my backup directory and can see I have some old backups from the 08/09/2015 which are taking up a lot or room and if i delete them they should free up the required space. And I would then like to restore the backup I have from the 29/09/2015. Does anyone know how i can access my backup directory so i can delete the old backups, from my Cpanel? I am using WHM, btw. 0 -

Hello :) You can only delete backup archives with "root" access via SSH or SFTP. Do you have root access to the server? Thank you.0 -

Hi micheal, thanks for this... Yes I do have root access. but I do not know how to use SSH or sftp. I have searched online for tutorials but cannot find a good one?0 -
CSF do a nice utility called 'ConfigServer Explorer', which may allow removal of the files directly within WHM. I find 'PUTTY' a good SSH utility, but this is only really any good if you understand command line inputs. 0
