Migrate add on domains
I may have asked this before but can't remember the outcome.
This is a Cpanel hosted account with no access to SSH or WHM.
I've been hosting a number of add-on domains for a friend until he can get his server sorted.
He's now decided to buy a package from the same hosts as my Cpanel only plan.
This should save some config changes regarding NameServers.
These add-on domains have a number of email accounts.
Is it possible to backup only the add-on domains, so he could migrate them in to his own account when he gets one ?

Hello :) There are no native tools that will automatically convert an addon domain name to it's own account. However, the following forum thread includes user-submitted information on to complete this manually: Moving addon domain name to it's own account There's a feature request open for this at: 0 -
I'm not sure it will be an addon domain being migrated to it's own account. More like a number of addon domains being migrated to a number of addon domains under another user on the same host. eg, I have mydomain.com, and inside this, about 10 addon domains. He will have hisdomain.com and would like to put the same addons inside this. Recreating them won't be a massive task, but if there was anyway to back them up and restore them to another user, it would make the job a bit easier. 0 -
Hello, There is no native support on this. You need to create addons under new user and migrate contents (web pages, mails, databases etc) manually. Let us know if you have any further questions. 0 -
