Is sprite_generator broken in cPanel 11.52?

cPanel's sprite_generator appears to be broken in 11.52. Please try the following (harmless) command if you're running 11.52:
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/sprite_generator --theme paper_lantern --style test123789
In 11.50, the following shows up (as expected):
ERROR: the following target directory does not exist: /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/paper_lantern/styled/test123789.
But in 11.52, the following shows up instead:
Bizarre copy of HASH in list assignment at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/perl/514/lib64/perl5/cpanel_lib/Carp.pm line 228.
If you're on 11.52, could you confirm if this error occurs on your machines?

  After the update all the sprite_generator created icons are now gone... CloudFlare, My own Custom Plugin, Etc. When I reinstall the my own plugin it states sprite_generator returned a non-zero exit code, your icon may or may not appear. I'm not sure if this is the same issue you're having but it seems to be related to 11.52 and the sprite generator If it's any help, I also get the same error message you're receiving in 11.52 on my servers too.

  This is indeed what we are experiencing. We have CloudFlare and many custom icons. CloudFlare's icon has disappeared, and the custom icons aren't replacing the default ones. It's strange that this issue wasn't caught and fixed prior to 11.52 being made available via the release tier.

  Hello :) Internal case CPANEL-2007 is open to address the issue where third-party icons are missing from the Paper Lantern theme after updating to cPanel version 11.52. I will update this thread with more information as it becomes available. Thank you.
