Hello :) PHP versions 5.0 and 5.1 are not supported by cPanel and are not available in EasyApache 4 or EasyApache 3. It's advised to update any scripts that are not compatible with newer versions of PHP. Cloud Linux with PHP Selector does offer support for legacy versions of PHP if you are open to utilizing a third-party application: CloudLinux Documentation Thank you.

Hi, So, apart from using CloudLinux is there any way through which I can install old PHP versions such as PHP 5.2 and 5.3 on cPanel 58?. Did someone tried that?. I know it's possible but I couldn't find any documents/tutorials for the same. Can someone please help me regarding this?. Note: It will be really helpful if you add support for these older versions too in EA4. I have already upvoted the corresponding feature request thread: Allow to install PHP 5.3 in Easy Apache 4 with the understanding that these versions are not secure. Thanks!

If your script is requiring these end of life versions of PHP, then chances are really high that that script is riddled with security holes and security issues. That's why it's preached to upgrade your script.

Yes, I know that and the clients are already in a process of upgrading their scripts. But, they say they need more time. There must be a lot of admins face similar issues with EA4. Is there any workaround for this apart from using CloudLinux?.

PHP: Unsupported Branches PHP 5.1 went end of life on 24 Aug 2006 PHP 5.0 went end of life on 05 Sep 2005 Sane administrators moved away from PHP 5.0 and PHP 5.1 a long, long, long time ago. I'm betting that whatever script this user is using, if it's worth anything, didn't just release a PHP 5.6 or PHP 7.0 supported version of that script yesterday. User should have upgraded their script a long, long time ago.

You can use EasyApache 3 in the short-term while your users prepare their scripts for newer versions of PHP. Then, you can convert to EasyApache 4 via the instructions at: How to Install or Uninstall EasyApache 4 - EasyApache 4 - cPanel Documentation Thank you.
