chkservd and cpsrvd

How do you get chkservd to stop monitoring cpsrvd? I tried setting it to 0 in /etc/chkserv.d/chkservd.conf I tried removing the cpsrvd line completely in /etc/chkserv.d/chkservd.conf I tried removing /etc/chkserv.d/cpsrvd It still wants to check cpsrvd. It's like the house guest that never leaves.

  Hello :) Is there any reason in particular you prefer to disable monitoring for the "cpsrvd" service? It's a required service, and thus monitoring is enabled by default. Thank you.
