RazorScanner on Port 2073?
Hi all,
I was reading this cPanel KB article to find out what ports need to be opened for cPanel and WHM and I noticed "RazorScanner" in the list on Port 2073.

What is RazorScanner? I can't seem to find anything other than reports of malware from Google searches?
NOTE: I haven't installed anything called RazorScanner. This KB suggests WHM/cPanel use it and to allow it in the firewall?

Hi Michael, Is that KB out-dated? The link you sent me has port 2703 whereas the KB says Port 2073? Not dismissing the possibility that I'm misunderstanding something here - It's quite likely :P 40781 0 -

You're right. I've opened a case with our documentation team to ensure the entry for this service is corrected on the following document: How to Configure Your Firewall for cPanel Services - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation I'll update this thread once the changes are published. In the meantime, here's how it should look:2703 - Razor - Razor is a collaborative spam-tracking database. For more information, visit the UsingRazor website.

Thanks, Michael! One last query regarding that document then: Since it will include port 2703 TCP_OUT for Razor2, since you let me know in another thread that SpamAssassin includes DCC and Pyzor by default also, should 6277 UDP_OUT (DCC) and 24441 UDP_OUT (Pyzor) be in the list too? 0 -

Hello, I've opened a case with our documentation team regarding these additional services. I'll update this thread with more information as it becomes available. Update: These services are now listed on: How to Configure Your Firewall for cPanel Services - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thanks!0 -
@hamid.hgl - the older links that start with "documentation" are no longer updated. We're *really* used to typing 20** for our port numbers, so I've submitted a documentation case to get that updated :D 0
