    Verifying : libudev-147-2.73.el6.x86_64 76/76memory alloc (4607896 bytes) returned NULL.

Hello, This suggests YUM ran out of memory during the YUM update process. You could try running the "yum update" command via SSH, or checking the available memory on your system to see if any processes are resulting in a lack of available memory. Thank you.

I've tried to run it again from WHM but get a message about 'No Pagage Marked For Update' and much the same when I run from SSH. Is there a way to force a re-install

Hello, It likely installed all of the packages already based on the output you provided. However, you can run the following commands to make sure it's running well:
    yum clean all yum update
    Thank you.

I tried that already and got this
    root@xxxxx [~]# yum clean all Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, security Cleaning repos: base extras updates Cleaning up Everything root@xxxx [~]# yum update Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, security Setting up Update Process Determining fastest mirrors * base: mirrors.vooservers.com * extras: mirrors.coreix.net * updates: mirrors.coreix.net base | 3.7 kB 00:00 base/primary_db | 4.7 MB 00:00 extras | 3.4 kB 00:00 extras/primary_db | 37 kB 00:00 updates | 3.4 kB 00:00 updates/primary_db | 2.6 MB 00:02 No Packages marked for Update root@xxxx [~]#
I now found something worrying... why is base.mirrors.vooservers.com listed. Where is Yum pulling this server info ??? Vooservers were my host for two of the web sites which were migrated to our own server 18 months ago. Edit: Maybe the Vooservers reference isn't as sinister as I'm imagining, as I just ran a quick Google search and thier server shows up in quite a number of Yum update logs. Coincidence !!!

Hello, The output you provided is normal and shows no issues. You can review the "mirrorlist=" entries in the REPO files within /etc/yum.repos.d/ if you want to review the source for the mirrors used by YUM. Thank you.

Thanks for this. When I saw VooServers, i questioned why would my former host show up in my dedicated server update logs. There should be no correlation between the two. But after googling the base server, I see it crops up all over the place. I guess VooServers are mirroring YUM.
