PHP selector from CloudLinux or from EA4?
Hi,
It is probably question to cPanel team:
What is the future of php changeing in EasyApache 4? Will it be complete relacement of php selector from CloudLinux ?
Do You know if php selector from CL will be continued ?
Will EA4 support fcgi ? (I see there is fpm in cpanel 60, but there is no fcgi support at all?)

From what I've heard, apparently once EA4 PHP is as good as the CloudLinux PHP selector then PHP selector may be dropped in favour of EA4 PHP. 0 -

Hey Bejbi, Right now they run side by side, however, it's possible you may see PHP Selector merge into MultiPHP in the future but there is no definitive outline on this as of yet. This might be a better question for CloudLinux as they would incorporate it into our UI's. EasyApache 4 is being worked on by the easyapache team as noted here: EasyApache 4 mod_fcgid - you should see support for this in 62, and perhaps even backported into 60 if the implementation is small enough. Thanks!0 -

There is an official CloudLinux answer for PHP-Selector future on their forum: http://old.cloudlinux.com/solutions/forum/messages/forum11/topic891/message4836/#message4836 Quoting here: We expect PHP Selector will be superseded by MultiPHP as no longer needed (once they reach feature parity). We expect MultiPHP to be able to use our alt-php/hardenedPHP, so it would be best of both words. This is our official position.0
