    Hi, When I restart HTTP server(APACHE) through the WHM interface it's taking a very long time and printing out the following: Failed to sysseek(/etc/apache2/logs/error_log) at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/HttpUtils/ApRestart.pm line 247. Failed to find "configured -- resuming normal operations " or "starts successfully! " at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/HttpUtils/ApRestart.pm line 393. Apache successfully restarted. Signaled successfully. When I check error_log in that directory [root@s1 logs]# pwd /etc/apache2/logs [root@s1 logs]# ls -l total 162280 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 21047842 Jul 7 16:15 access_log drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Jul 1 19:38 archive drwx--x--x 8 root wheel 4096 Jul 7 16:04 domlogs -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jul 7 14:54 error_log -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 144794524 Jul 7 13:53 error_log-old drwx-wx-wt 2 root root 4096 Jun 21 00:40 modsec_audit -rw-r----- 1 root root 0 Jun 21 22:32 modsec_audit.log -rw-r----- 1 root root 0 Jun 21 22:32 modsec_debug.log -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 299947 Jul 7 16:12 ssl_engine.log So everything seems ok. The contents of error_log is empty however. Any thoughts?

Try changing the error_log name to error_log.bak and restart.

Hello, Do you have any third-party scripts or cron jobs that are routinely deleting the /etc/apache2/logs/error_log file? You can review a list of root cron jobs on your system with a command such as:
    crontab -l
    Thank you.
