WHM Login and SSH Key

Hi, I'm new to WHM & CPANEL platform. I need to access to WHM with an another login different to the root user. This because i'm not the sysadmin but a developer with some admin knowledge who access now with ssh key. The sysadmin has added my ssh key login that I use with terminal but i need also to login in WHM interface. There is a way to login in WHM Interface always with the same credentials?

  Are you asking the URL for WHM or saying that the login fails? If the URL, try yourdomain.com/whm . If you mean the login fails, get the sysadmin to rest your password, to be sure it is not as simple as that.

  Thanks for response, Nope, I was asking if with generated ssh key I can login to WHM interface without create another user, or obligatory I need to have another user account in WHM?

  WHM is not SSH. They are two different systems. WHM does not use SSH keys. You need a username and password to access the WHM. Alternatively you could use an API key to access certain function of the WHM, but that's getting pretty advanced. Access to these API calls requires you to program and code an application for that.

  ...and if we approach your question/response in a different way, I have several users in WHM who also have been given SSH keys and sometimes work that way. So, it depends on how the account you use the SSH keys with was created in the first place. Do you not have the password for that account as well? It will have one.

  If you need a second WHM user, you might be able to achieve what you want by setting you up as a up a reseller: Guide to Reseller Accounts - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation ..........and then assigning all the privileges to that reseller that the documentations warns you not to do :eek: (or just the ones you might need as a developer?) :) Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation You might want to talk this over with your sysadmin, but in all honesty, if you are the owner and Root Administrator of the server (as your cPanel access level indicates), you should be entitled to the standard root login credentials to WHM anyway !!
