    Hey there!  Do you have root access to the server or just cPanel access?  In general, you should never have to manually delete files from the server to fix a user interface problem, but I'm also not sure what "the alias in the mail folder" means exactly.  Email accounts themselves are stored in /home/username/mail/domain.com, but that doesn't control their presence in the interface.

    It would likely be best to create a ticket with our team if the cPanel license is purchased through us, as we'll need to investigate this a bit.

    thanks cPRex.  I do have root access to the server.

    Alias in the mail folder refers to one like the following located /home/jimlongo/mail

    Neither the email alias in question, nor the domain itself is present in the /mail directory.  (the domain does not have email).

    lrwxrwxrwx  1 jimlongo jimlongo   27 Dec 13 11:00 .example@domain_com -> domain.com/example

    Would you like me to create a ticket for this one on my end?

    I could ask my provider, I just thought it might be something easy to fix.

    Thanks.

    No, it'll likely require some digging as this is one of those "just shouldn't happen" type of things.
