Missing 'Send Login Link to Alternate Email Address' Functionality for 'Manage Team' Accounts from 116 version update
AnsweredHello, I recently encountered an issue related to the creation of new user accounts. Previously, there was an option to 'Send login link to an alternate email address' when creating a new email account with 'manage team' accounts. However, after updating from cPanel version 114 to 116, this option seems to have disappeared and is only available for admin accounts.
The absence of this feature is impacting our HR team's operations due to our permission management needs, and we are actively seeking a workaround or an alternative solution.
Upon investigating the current functionality, it appears that this feature is associated with cPanel's User Manager (separate from Team Manager). The setting controlling its availability is found in WHM's Tweak Settings as 'Account Invites for Subaccounts.' If the User Manager feature is disabled, the option is hidden in cPanel. We tested the Team Manager, but there's no role that enables a team user to have access to the User Manager feature, even though the admin role lists it. Currently, it seems to be a limitation without a viable workaround.
Does anyone know if there is any workaround available that would still allow a management team member to send a link to the user? If you have any idea on this, please comment below~ Thank you so much! (the below screenshots are the previous and after looks for the functionality missing.)

Hi cPRex, certainly! We've logged in using our 'manage team' accounts, as shown in the second photo, and the admin account in the first photo with the functionality for comparison. Currently, for 'manage team' accounts, we handle specialized field management like email database, etc. among different members, but they suggested they may not have access to it anymore.~

For more details on this use scenario if helpful, we used cPanel from InMotion Hosting, and their service helped check on this part and replied there may also be a limitation for 'manage team' accounts after the recent update while rolling back the version may also not be easy from our side in this case.

I am just following up to inquire if there is any place I could follow up on the fixing update or result through case number DUCK-9900. For example, is there any link or place I could check on the website? Or if there are any fixing schedules cPRex may know about in this case? I don't yet - it's going to require some changes to the Team structure so it's likely not going to be a quick fix. I'll be sure to post an update once I have one.

It's in Edge as of right now - it was released a few minutes after I made that update post earlier.
As far as to when it will move to a more stable version I can't say just yet.

This fix is also scheduled to be backported to 116.0.12, which will be the next release.
