Have you reached out to Google support yet? What did they say? Do you know how to use SSH?

Unfortunately I don't have Google Cloud support... yes I know how to use SSH, I was able to change password directly from Google Cloud SSH after installation but the problem arises when I try to access admin panel, the error msg comes up not allowing me to actually connect with WHM / CPanel.

I read online it may be a firewall issue but the Google Cloud server package with pre-installed CPanel already has the correct ports do im at a loss as to what the issue is. Any help appreciated

Can you check cPanel status with the following command:

    service cpanel status

If the OS is almalinux then turn off firewall with:

    systemctl stop firewalld

    or CentOS then:

    service iptables stop

    then try again.

Unfortunately no luck, this didn't work.

This same issue happened to me a few months ago on another server I got on the exact same Google Cloud marketplace, and I recall i spent hours online trying to find a solution, which eventually I did but cannot for the life of me remember what it was. I've even searched through all of my Internet history and re-read everything but still no luck.

Im sure someone out there has the answer as this must be happening to everyone who buys the server package through Google Cloud marketplace. Any help would be great appreciated!

Anyone out there who has experienced the same problem? And was able to resolve? Please help!

At this point it would be best to contact the hosting provider to have them check the settings on the machine.

Same here, already tried to install cPanel & WHM on Ubuntu and cPanel & WHM on AlmaLinux, can not login at all. After auto installation it gives a link, like:
https://xx.xx.xx.xx:2087// - Double slash in the end!?

Even without them (https://xx.xx.xx.xx:2087) it give the same error as mentioned above "refused to connect".

Can you try to install cPanel manually on Ubuntu and report back if you experience the same issue please?

That does sound like a firewall issue of some sort if you're not able to reach the port at all.

I experience exact the same issue.

"service cpanel status" returns: Unit cpanel.service could not be found.

I already disabled the firewalld via SSH and i disabled all firewall rules on the GoogleCloud-side. (i added 1 rule: allow all from 0.0.0.0/0)

so normally there could no longer be a firewall in the way.

I deployed cPanel on Almalinux from within Google Marketplace and i tried this for the 4th time now, without luck.

Is there a problem with the deployment?

I'm not aware of any issues with the deployment at this time.  Could you submit a ticket so we can check this out?

Right now, i'm installing manually an Almalinux 9 server and i will try to manually install cPanel/WHM.

I will open a ticket with support if this fails too, because i'm trying to deploy an installation on almalinux so i can transfer my clients to the new environment.
