SiteJet Ecommerce option missing

Hey there!  cPanel includes Sitejet Builder, which may not have all the features you're seeing in the full Sitejet software suite.  Details on what is included in our version can be found here:

That's a shame, I really thought that SiteJet was going to be awesome for us and to move away from Kopage.  But without the Shop option, it is worthless to our customers.  That really sucks, because SiteJet is so much more powerful and easy to understand.  But no matter how beautiful a car is on the outside, without a motor, it has very little value.

...it's odd that I just found some articles from cPanel talking about it having a ecommerce solution, so I am wondering what that claim meant then, if the shop button isn't there?

Could you send me a screenshot of the button(s) or image(s) you're expecting to see so I can do some more homework on that?

Well now I'm even more confused :D

I just double-checked Sitejet on version 116 and it looks like this after I choose a theme, and while I do have many more options than you, "shop" isn't one of them:

Yeah, and when I go to set up the site (or change template), I can choose a Shop Template, but when I do, it won't work because it seems to point me to something that isn't there and then won't run the shop stuff.

There is no "Commerce" in the left content sidebar.

This is the full view of it installing a Template that doesn't work and doesn't have the sidebar option it is asking for:

Can you let me know which template you're using so I can do some more testing with that?

Our web designer says it is all the shop templates, but the ones I have tried myself are "AShop"  (photo  above) and "Flower Shop".  Both show this message.

I thought I lost my mind, but I found that they claimed it did in the Oct 15, 2023 cPanel Blog post:

Thanks for the additional details.  I couldn't find anything on my end about this so I reached out to the Sitejet team directly and they confirmed the Shop button has been disabled at this time until we're able to improve the ecommerce functionality.  So unfortunately, I don't have a way to offer that to you at this point.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but thanks for the kind words!

I also did submit a request for that blog post to be updated to avoid future confusion with other readers.

    Hi, cPRex

Does Sitejet team has any update for this issue?

What specific update were you looking for?  At this time, that specific feature is not something that will be included in the cPanel version of Sitejet.

Why is then that still on CPanel website it says that Sitejet has Shopping cart when it does not . I have wasted an entire building a new website to find when i got to adding the shopping cart its not there, BUT CPanel still has it listed on there site as being there

Just to add to the above here is a link to cpanel with an image that has Store on it

The "Store" option is still present if you click the Design tab at the top.  Here is a screenshot from a quick test I did with the "CarCity" template:

What is *not* included is the "Shop" button in the left sidebar, which integrates more tools outlined here:

    cPRex,

That seems to be more of a shell that they forgot to turn off while working on it, more than an option for a store to be implemented.  Or am I missing something?

    The "shop" button, you mean?

No, my version also does not have the Shop button, I assume it will be coming soon... but I do see your store button.  However, that doesn't seem to be more than a shell option for things not really there yet.  Forgive me if I overlooked something, that is HIGHLY possible.

Which template are you using where you don't see the shop button?  It may not be present in all templates.

Just to be clear, I started this topic because on my cPanel, the eCommerce is missing...

    1)  I understand that the part of eCommerce in the built-in cPanel version was delayed in being released.

    2) They sent out a release saying it was now released, but I (and I assume the others) haven't seen it yet.

    3) I understand this could be a version problem because horrible Hostgator is still running CentOS v7.9.2009 on their dedicated servers, which means I can only run cPanel v110.0.24.  I was surprised that SiteJet appeared at all.

But in closing, if I SHOULD be able to see it, I do not.

... and yes, I am looking for a Hostgator replacement.  But nobody seems to compare to price/bandwidth/disk space.  :-(

"They" - who is this they :D. As far as I'm aware, we haven't made any changes to that area on our end.

One last week, and this one moments ago:

Thanks for that - I see we *just* sent that email a few hours ago, so I hadn't even received the update on my end just yet!

I spoke with the team and confirmed that this is *not* dependent on the cPanel version, so if that particular server is running a license purchased directly with us, you should see the "Commerce" option on the left sidebar.  If the license is through a Partner, they may need to enable that for you.

Hello everyone, we have the corresponding license and the service is with version 118.0.4, and the commerce button still does not appear, and I also see that they downloaded the article from the site https://cpanel.net/blog/products/seamless- online-sale-siteajet-commerce-now-in-cpanel/

SoporteNTX - so you have a direct license with cPanel and you're still not seeing that button?  If that is correct, could you please submit a ticket so we can check this out?

OK, so I have 2 dedicated servers through Hostgator; both have SiteJet on them. However, the "Commerce" button is still missing. Hostgator says it isn't their problem; it is a third-party app, and they don't support that. I need to contact SiteJet.

But I'm not sure where to go from here.  Is this a Hostgator configuration problem, is this a cPanel issue, or is it a SiteJet issue?

In the March 28, 2024 email sent out from cpanel.net, it shows that the Commerce button is now included with cPanel and SiteJet.  I'm just not seeing it on mine through Hostgator.  If there is a way I can fix this without talking to Hostgators terrible support, I'd love to do it.

Any ideas for my next step?
