Scan for spam before sending autoresponder
Is there a way to prevent an autoresponder from sending an auto-reply for an incoming message that has been deemed spam by SpamAssasin and is ultimately being deleted by a spam filter? The email address on the spam message is usually bogus and generates a bounce notification for the auto-reply message.

Hey there! This *should* already be happening as this has been a feature of cPanel for some time:
https://features.cpanel.net/topic/autoresponders-should-ignore-spams-not-reply-to-them
Is it possible the filter is interfering with the mail operation in some way? The Exim logs would give you more details about what is being processed for that particular email.

Hi there.
Can you confirm this feature is live? the link doesn't seem to work and I couldn't find any reference to it: https://features.cpanel.net/topic/autoresponders-should-ignore-spams-not-reply-to-them
Thanks,
Ignacio

I'm not sure what happened to that link as that doesn't match the typical wording of things on the features site, so I'm wondering if that got automatically updated by Zendesk. I do have the autoresponder whitelist tool available here:
https://features.cpanel.net/c/285-autoresponder-whitelist
but that is the only thing I have for autoresponders that we are considering at this time.
In general, Autoresponders should *not* reply to spam if SpamAssassin has scored it, as outlined in the "Note" box here:
https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/autoresponders/#current-autoresponders
"Important:
User-defined autoresponders ignore messages to which the Spam Filters feature assigns a score of
5or higher."0
