    Hey there!  I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the database connection.  Is the error appearing on the web page?

    You mentioned you checked the credentials - was the database working previously?

    If you have root access to the server you could check the database logs, which are typically stored in /var/log/mysqld.log, although that location can be customized in the /etc/my.cnf file.

    If you don't have root access to the machine, you will likely need to speak with your hosting provider or datacenter to have them perform additional troubleshooting on this issue.
