License did not moved after migration
Hi everyone,
My current cpanel 110.0.24 runs on virtual machine with old cloudlinux 7.9. Now, because of end of support I have to move to a modern OS, so I created a new virtual machine and installed cloudlinux 8.9 and cpanel 116.0.13. Moved configuration with "Transfer Tools", then swapped IP addresses from an old server to a new one and made /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt --force. But after all new server still uses trial license. My main goal is to keep IP address the same. I tried to do everything as explained here: https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/transfers-and-restores/how-to-move-all-cpanel-accounts-from-one-server-to-another/108/, but it looks outdated. What should I do?

Hey there! What was the output from the cpkeyclt command? It's possible we detected that license move as fraud and stopped it from syncing, but it should give you some details in that output.

Hi, nothing special:
Updating cPanel license...Done. Update succeeded.I read somewhere someone used migration license instead of trial for such migration.
And new server had new host name, can it be a problem?0 -
No, all of that sounds normal to me. If you're still seeing issues with license please submit a ticket to our team or contact Customer Service at cs@cpanel.net and we can take a look!

Ok, thanks. I'll give it a try.

BTW, there is 96 accounts on current server and there is a problem moving them to a new server with 'transfer tool' because of trial license limitations(maximum 30 accounts). What should I do? Is the only way to recreate accounts is restore them from a backup?

Reach out to our Customer Service team and see if they can issue you a migrations license, as that doesn't have the 30-account limit. As long as one of the machines you're working with has a paid license, that shouldn't be a problem.
