Port 2080 - Expired SSL Certificate Error
AnsweredHello All,
cPanel ver 116.0.13, issue faced since: 2024-02-24.
Identical Issue to what is listed at:
Adding a new issue since I am not able to save my comment on the older issue.
I am facing the same issue on my domain since the last SSL auto-renewal cycle on 2024-02-24.
What works:
Webmail via Roundcube, and email on Thunderbird works correctly.
Accessing Calendar and Contacts via Roundcube works correctly.
What does not work:
Accessing Calendar and Contacts via third party apps such as Thunderbird and DAVx5 does not work and fails with "Expired SSL Certificate" error.
Existing Settings:
I was using "mail.domain.com:2080" as the URL for CalDAV and CardDAV.
Workaround:
I tried the workaround (domain.com:2080 instead of mail.domain.com:2080) suggested by bernard-borg in the original issue, and can confirm that Calendar and Contacts work correctly.
I will have to keep track of this workaround for the next renewal cycle which is on 2024-05-23.

Hey there! We do plan to have a replacement for the CCS system soon which will improve this behavior. Have you tried the details here yet? https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/9165014950039-SSL-certificates-are-not-updated-in-CCS-when-replaced?input_string=broken+ssl+for+ccs

With the cpdavd Service replacing CCS Plugin in cPanel 120.0.0, this issue is no longer valid for me.
The "mail.domain.com:2080" URL works correctly after my hosting provider upgraded to cPanel 120.0.2.
Please feel free to mark this issue as Closed.
