After manual transfer using rsync disk quota is incorrect

After the transfer of an account to a new cPanel server, some e-mail was missing so it was rsync'ed from a newer backup.

However, post rsync the Disk Used quota showing in cPanel 'list accounts' is 180606 MB (approx. 180Gb) but the du on the command line is showing the account's home dir uses 53G.

Please advise?

  Usually that is because there are files / folders owned by that user outside of the user's home directory.

  What quietFinn said - it could be backups, or databases, or other files owned by the user outside of /home/username.

  Thank you chaps, I'd assumed that it was just calculated on the /home - I confirm there are other files outside /home which are owned by the user.
