cPanel & WHM Version 110 (LTS) end of life July 31, 2024

Hello,

I want to make 3 questions about the version of cpanel 110 that supports end July 31, 2024.

I see in my preferences at cPanel that I have no option to select as my LTS version the version 110 but only the version 118 (auto selected).

From the night auto update of cpanel I see a blocker says: "Blocker found: Newer releases of cPanel & WHM are not compatible with your operating system...". I have Centos7 for the moment.

I plan a migration to this specific server in a couple of months.

My questions:

1. It's possible the cpanel bypass the blocker in the future and install version 118 and mess the system?
2. If a security patch or something else release in cPanel version 110 how my cPanel make that update as long the selection says 118?
3. Cpanel version 110 support ends July 31, 2024? Since that time any security problems etc will resolve by this version?

Sorry but with the version 118 as only option I'm a bit confuse here.

  Hey there!  I'll go through and answer these in order:

  1 - No, since you are on CentOS 7, there is no way for the system to update cPanel past version 110.
  2 - Version 110 will receive security patches until July as part of the nightly update.  The update just won't change your version number, but will apply any new changes we make to version 110.
  3 - Yes.
