I'm receiving this alert by e-mail:

Cron <root@nave> /usr/bin/test -x /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_db_cache && /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_db_cache

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/update_db_cache: the operation timed out at bin/update_db_cache.pl line 56.

What this script do and what can be this problem?

  Hey there!  This is a standard entry that cPanel adds to root's crontab.  Can you manually run /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_db_cache and see if that provides more details?

  did run in background with nohup and no output : /

  It's possible there was just a one-time issue with that command and things are working well now.  If it happens again overnight, check the most recent cPanel update log (/var/cpanel/updatelogs/last) to see if there is more information there.
