SMTP receiver verification
How can I configure the SMTP server to perform email address verification before sending emails? Recipient/receiver verification, I believe is the proper term. Basically to determine if an account exists in the same way as email-checker.net. If I send an email to some random account, I don't want it to generate a bounceback indicating the account doesn't exist; I would rather it not attempt to send the message at all.
In the Advanced Exim config, there is a default_recp_verify section with "verify = recipient" present, although it does not perform a callout. If I edit /etc/exim.conf manually to add a callout, it doesn't make a difference.
What needs to be edited?
