Hey there!  That error message says the connection is timing out when Gmail tries to email your domain.  If you try running this command from an external server, does that also time out?

    telnet yourdomain.com 25

If you scan the domain with a tool like intodns.com, does that show any DNS errors that could be causing this problem?

Ultimately, since the message isn't reaching your server, you may need to contact Gmail to see if they can provide you with more specific details.

    Thanks for your reply.
I have tried what you mention, but nothing.
How can I communicate with gmail? I am not a client of theirs.
    Thank you

That part I'm not completely sure - I don't have any special insider access to Gmail on my end either.

Is Gmail the only email service that you aren't able to receive?  As in, all other emails are being received normally on your server?

    Hi,
Yes, I can receive from all other domains and servers. I can even receive some emails from Gmail, but not most of them. It's very strange.
Otherwise, they take many hours to arrive, or they simply get lost without reaching anywhere.
I was thinking that it could be that some user is taking up too many resources and this slows down exim. Do you know how I can check this?

    Thank you

No, that type of issue wouldn't happen.  If there was a problem that was big enough to slow down Exim, all emails would be affected.

It sounds like reaching out to Gmail support is the best bet in this situation - if the messages physically are not getting to your server, your server likely isn't the issue unless there is a DNS resolution problem of some sort, but that would seem unlikely the problem seems to be just with Gmail.

    Hi,
I have never configured the DMARC record, on the vps, to any account or domain. Could this be the reason for the intermittency of the gmail email entry? Have you known of anyone with this problem?

    Thank you

    Hi,
The only thing it could be is that a client or domain was sending spam just before the problem. But the server stopped it at 160 emails per hour, as I have it configured.
He thought that maybe Gmail has special control or supervision for abusers. Since my IP is not on blacklists.
Do you know how I could check if only Gmail has it listed on blacklists?

    Thank you

I'd suggest that you create a Gmail account for testing.
With that you can test sending and you can see if any errors are returned.
You could also see in your server's logs if the emails is rejected after the initial connection.

DMARC record in the receiving domain's DNS does not matter.
