SSL hostname
AnsweredHi.-
I have been trying to generate the SSL for the server's hostname for several days (due to a hostname change) and it has not been possible.
It produces the following message:
429 urn:ietf:params:acme:error:rateLimited (The request exceeds a rate limit) (Error creating new order :: too manycertificates already issued for "contaboserver.net". Retry after 2024-05-06T11:00:00Z: see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/rate-limits/) at bin/checkallsslcerts.pl line 691.
How can it be resolved?

Please change your hostname from "contaboserver.net" to your own one and try to issue the certificate again.

What Andrew said - it's best to use a custom hostname rather than the default one that was issued at the time the server was created.

That's the problem, the hostname is not the default one, it's a custom one.

The plot thickens!
Do you see the correct hostname if you run the "hostname" command on the server? Does that not contain the contabo domain name?

When you run the hostname command it shows the correct name, the same one that the cpanel shows at the top

Can you try the workaround mentioned here to completely remove that old hostname from the SSL request to see if that gets thing working?

Ready. I ran what the documentation says and it was resolved.
Thank you so much

Great - I'm glad that's all it took!
