Exim SMTP2GO routing configuration
AnsweredHi,
I've edited the EXIM advanced configuration to use a dedicated SMTP2GO server for outgoing SMTP to improve email deliverability according to this guide. It is still working great on several servers, but for a new server I'm configuring now I can't send mail after saving the EXIM configuration. Sending a message directly from Roundcube results in the message "SMTP Error (451): Failed to add recipient "someone@example.com" (Temporary local problem - please try later)". This seems to be a DNS lookup problem for the recipient email address from what I can see, but it happens for all recipient email domains. Are there any tips out there to get this to work?
I've checked DNS resolver settings, done DNS server restarts and full server reboots and still get the same error message. All mail delivers successfully after switching back to our default exim configuration.

Hey there! When you say "This seems to be a DNS lookup problem for the recipient email address from what I can see" can you get me more details on what led you to that? Is there another error message that points toward a DNS issue?

Thanks for following up. Right after I submitted this ticket I checked the exim logs again and found an unrelated error. Fixed that, problem solved. Please consider the ticket resolved, and thanks for your time!
