Bug with adding multi-level "mail" subdomain
Hello,
I wanted to add a multilevel subdomain in the format of mail.subdomain.example.com – where "example.com" is an addon domain and "subdomain" is a subdomain of said addon domain.
When I attempt to create this via the "Domains" interface, I get the following error message:
Error: (XID xxxxxx) “[account]” has no web vhost for “mail.subdomain.example.com”! at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Validate/Component/Domain/IsProxySubdomainWithDnsEntry.pm line 70.
I looked at the code for the specified module and it appears to be checking if the "mail" subdomain already has a VirtualHost defined for it so that it can be "upgraded" to an actual subdomain, however, subdomains don't have this special subdomain defined, thus returning the error.
In this case, I can settle for just creating the "mail" subdomain on the primary domain, however, I think there should be an additional check that the domain being added isn't a subdomain.

Hey there! I do see there is a case open with our team about this issue, but I'd like to speak with them tomorrow (when the developers are actually around) to get more information about this. I'll post an update once I've had a chance to speak with them!

I've created case CPANEL-44167 with our team so they can do more investigation into this, and I'll be sure to post any updates I get!

You're very welcome - I'm sorry I don't have a more immediate resolution.
