Update Failures

OS: AlmaLinux v8.9.0 STANDARD

cPanel Version: 120.0.5

For several days, I've been getting update failure notices. They all relate to the following:

[2024-05-16 04:40:33 -0700] [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update-packages] (XID 7m8fbr) “/usr/bin/yum” reported error code “1” when it ended:
[2024-05-16 04:40:33 -0700] E [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update-packages] The “/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update-packages” command (process 2966024) reported error number 1 when it ended.

Is this something that will clear up, or, if not, how do I fix it?

Hey there! That looks like a problem with that specific Dell mirror, and wouldn't be related to cPanel. You'll likely see the same output with a "yum update" on the machine.

Can you try running the following commands to see if that takes care of things?

yum clean all
yum makecache
yum update
