How can I go about setting up an email forwarder manually outside of the cPanel interface?

  Hey there!  You can edit the /etc/valiases/domain.com file for the specific domain you're working with on the server.  The simple formatting of

  local@emailaddress.com: destination@emailaddress.com

  is all that's needed to get this configured.  Just don't delete the last line of the file as that is the default mail handling for the domain.

  email forwarders are stored in
  /etc/valiases/domain.tld
