AutoSSL and cerfiticates for subdomains
For an addon domain addon.tld, AutoSSL issues a single certificate for addon.tld and www.addon.tld (I exclude the cPanel account's domain's subdomains based on addon.tld from AutoSSL). This doesn't cover the subdomains of addon.tld, which could be easily achieved if the certificate was issues for addon.tld and *.addon.tld instead of just www.addon.tld. How do I make it happen so AutoSSL issues a certificate that covers also sumdomains of an addon domain?

Hey there! I can't say I've seen similar behavior - AutoSSL will cover any valid domain that has a proper DNS configuration and is listed in the Apache configuration on the server. I would expect all subdomains created in cPanel to get an AutoSSL certificate.
Can you let us know what the renewal attempt is showing? Does it give any errors about those domains?

Hi cPRex,
Perhaps you misunderstood, since it's a normal behavior for cPanel that when you add an addon domain addon.tld, it creates a certificate just for addon.tld and www.addon.tld. Now, I want there to be a certificate that covers every subdomain of addon.tld (*.addon.tld), not just www.addon.tld.

I would expect that to happen as the domains are added to the account, but we don't proactively make a wildcard for them.

So, what's the solution?

I don't think there is one? As you create additional subdomains it really should just create new SSL certificates that cover them. Is that not happening? Is something not working on the server right now?
