How to address site going down on dedicated server
I have a server with three websites on it. It is running CSF for a firewall. One of the sites seems to be getting hammered around the same time many days of the week (early afternoon). Based on the info below can you give any suggestions on what I should do? We route through Cloudflare but it doesn't seem to be helping.
Free -h shows
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 15G 1.6G 9.5G 64M 4.4G 13G
Swap: 15G 2.6G 13G
When I do apachectl status it tells me this:
Server uptime: 16 minutes 49 seconds
Server load: 0.29 0.31 0.26
Total accesses: 800 - Total Traffic: 31.8 MB - Total Duration: 11697553
CPU Usage: u2.5 s.53 cu.59 cs.29 - .388% CPU load
.793 requests/sec - 32.3 kB/second - 40.7 kB/request - 14621.9 ms/request
225 requests currently being processed, 0 workers gracefully restarting, 0

Any ideas?

Hey there! When you see the Apache scoreboard filled up with those Ws, is it frequently one, or a group of, IP addresses all trying to connect at once? Running "apachectl fullstatus" will show the IPs that are being processed at any given time. If you see a pattern there, that would indicate a DoS attack of some sort, which I would expect Cloudflare to help with, so you may want to reach out to them as well of you detect a DoS.
