Hey there!  Unfortunately no - you'll be stuck on version 110 until you move to a newer operating system.  I would recommend using the Transfer Tool (https://docs.cpanel.net/whm/transfers/transfer-tool/) to move to a new machine, or using ELevate (https://cpanel.github.io/elevate/) to upgrade the current installation.

    Hi,

    1. Do we really need a new server? A separate box.

    2. Does Cpanel supports migration from CentOS to Ubuntu.

If not, we can only choose from AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux. Is that right?

1 - It depends on the choice you make.  Personally, if your hardware is old enough it would be a good time to get a new system as well, but that isn't required if you choose to try ELevate.

2 - Yes, the Transfer Tool doesn't care about which OS you are using.

cPanel doesn't make hardware recommendations, but there are a few different CPU versions released from 2012-2014, and it was discontinued in 2015:

In my opinion, it would be best to get newer hardware.

    1. If we use CPanel elevate script to AlmaLinux, there will be little downtime and inconvenience.

    2. If we have a new server with new hardware in the same data center and using the Transfer tool, will the downtime take many hours or even a day?

1 - The will be downtime with ELevate, possibly several hours, as the new OS is loaded and the configuration brought online.

2 - There is usually not downtime with the Transfer Tool.  The old server will stay online until you manually turn it off, so the sites are up until you switch the DNS to the new machine.  There is also the option of the Live Transfer (https://docs.cpanel.net/whm/transfers/transfer-tool/#live-transfer) which immediately proxies the traffic to the new server once the accounts are restored.

    Hi,

We have decided on a new server with the following hardware.

    CPU: 2 * E5-2650 v4
    Storage: 4TB SSD
    RAM: 128GB ddr4

May I ask what are some of the recommended operating systems?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

We installed CPanel in the new server (Rocky Linux 9). However, after we signed in, we saw the following message:

    ---

Get Started with a Free cPanel Trial!

Log in to the cPanel Store using your existing store credentials to activate your Free Trial license.

If you do not already have a cPanel Store account, you can create one using the Create Account link on the cPanel Store Login page.

We have successfully activated the trial license.

We are planning to use Transfer tool to move to the new machine.

    1. How can we check the progress of the transfer? Such as the percentage or estimated time.

    2. Will there be any downtime to websites during the transfer process?

    Thank you.

It seems we've answered most of these in your other thread, but let me know if you need more details.
