Domain on Plesk & Mail on cPanel ?

You can do this.  It's not different than if mail was at Google or Office365.  You just need to make sure that DNS points web to Plesk and mail to cPanel.  You "may" need to do something on the Plesk server to make sure that web site forms route properly (in cPanel you'd have to set mail as being remote) but that's a question for Plesk.

Thank you so very much for your suggestions, Yes I know it is just about the DNS settings but I spoke to Godaddy and they are the ones hosting my VPS, and my domains too are registered with them.

Everything to do with my domain is with Godaddy and their TECH said, since your website is on Plesk you cannot have mail on cPanel...I was taken aback as to why not.

It's just a matter of DNS settings, but they did not oblige, which is why I am asking about this on cPanel forums.

Can you please guide me on what I need to do on the PLESK server?

All you need to do is ensure the DNS is properly configured like this:

    domain.com. IN A xxx.xxx.plesk.ip
    mx IN CNAME mail.domain.com.
    mail in A xxx.xxx.cpanel.ip

Then you would just need to create the account and the email accounts on the cPanel server and mail will get routed to that machine.

    cPRex,

Thank you for  your revert, everything is as you have described, and when I try to access

webmail.myaddonDoman.com I get an SSL error, but it does not load the webmail page, AND YES,I DON'T have an SSL cert for my server yet, ( does this also cause any issues )?

    Thank you

That would be a separate issue.  It's likely that your domain name doesn't include "webmail" in the SSL certificate.  Do you have full root access to the server or just access to cPanel?

    Hello cPRex,

Thank you for being so kind, YES, I do have root access to the SERVER.

Can you please assist me with this?

    Thank you

The first thing I would check is making sure that webmail.domain.com resolves to the cPanel server.  If it does, you can then go to WHM >> Manage AutoSSL Certifcates, go to the "Manage Users" tab, and then click the "check username" button to the right of the account you're working with to see if it gives you more details on why it doesn't have the webmail subdomain in the certificate.

    Hey cPRex,

PLEASE NOTE: The mail service I need is for an ADDON_DOMAIN

FORGOT TO ADD: I have an SSL Certificate for the MAIN_Domain.com

When I look up my mail services for my addon_domain, it points mail.addon_domain.com to my cPanel server IP address.

The SSL page shows my MainDomain.com; nothing happens when I click on Check_Maindomain.com.

NOTE: I do not see webmail.addon_domain.com in the results of the MX lookup.

    Please suggest.

Thank you so so very much once again.

The steps I outlined would be the same, you would just need to ensure the records are in place for the specific domain you're working with.  It doesn't matter if it's the main domain or an addon domain.

    Hey cPRex,

Thank you for all your assistance,   I have managed to get webmail.myaddondomain.com working, I have edited my DNS zone at Godaddy and edited the mail.addondomain.com TO webmail.addondomain.com and it has started to resolve and I can also login to my account.

    Things look good now.
