"Mark as Read" using a filter

    Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a supported method to have an email filter mark an email as read. It would be possible to configure a filter to move email to the Spam folder when it meets certain criteria. If your server uses maildir, emails that are read by the client are moved to the cur subfolder which would be located inside the Spam folder. However, the Email Filters interface does not appear to allow the filter to move mail to the cur subfolder.

    Thanks William. Too bad, it would be a nice feature. Not a good option for everyone, of course, but for some filters it would be nice. Thanks for your reply!
