Elevate Upgrade - Yum Update Issue

OS: CloudLinux v7.9.0
cPanel: 110.0.36

Elevate 7.9 to 8 upgrade failed, so I had restored to a backup before the fail.

However, now running Yum Update instead of updating packages it now upgrades CloudLinux from v7.9 to v8.5.

Then all packages are broken and can not be updated, so I end up with CloudLinux v8.5 and cPanel stuck on 110.0.36.

 

FYI: Ran Elevate on another server it upgraded to CloudLinux v8.10, then updated cPanel to 120.0.14 without issues.

 

Re ran Elevate to perform the update and it basically just performs a precheck and I guess it runs yum update and breaks and gets stuck on v8.5 as above.

 

Any other command or files I need to run and clean up this stuck 8.5 install and get Yum Update working to just update packages not OS, so then I can run Elevate to go up again?

Ran Yum clean all, and anything else I could think of.

  Hey there!  It would likely be best to submit a ticket on this issue.  I'd hate to recommend something that would leave the system in an unstable state.
