    Hey there!  I see another user has reported this behavior and we are working on this in ticket 95329009, but so far we have not found a resolution.  I'm following along with that ticket now and I'll be sure to update you here once I have more information.

    Update - we've created a case with our developers to have them fix this issue.  You can follow along with case CPANEL-45714 at https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/24966675882775-Mailman-generates-ascii-codec-can-t-decode-byte-error for updates!

    What was indicated as workaround was done, however the problem continues. Any progress with the solution?

    [root@cp06 ~]# /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_mailman --status &> /dev/null && /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/python2 -S /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/cron/senddigests

    Our team was actually working on this issue just last night according to the development logs, although there is no official fix just yet.

    The specific package you'll be looking for is cpanel-mailman-2.1.39-2 - right now we're still on -1.  This is included in the next release of 120 and 122 which *should* go out later today if everything goes as planned!
