Lost calendar data after AlmaLinux upgrade
AnsweredHello,
My server was elevated to AlmaLinux this morning. Everything seems to be working fine except I've lost my calendar data in CalDav. I had set up a shared calendar that had delegated access to my users, but after the upgrade there is no delegated access at all.
I re-added myself in the calendar delegation as a test, but since I have it set up to only replicate what is on the server, I am getting warned that it will erase my calendar on my client.
Is there a way to restore the calendar data from before the upgrade? From what I can tell, cPanel does not use CCS anymore so I am wondering if that is part of the issue. The server went from version 110 to 120 during the elevation process.
Thanks!
Tom

Hey there! We'd likely need to see a ticket - CCS data hasn't been an ELevate blocker for about 2 months now, so it should have automatically handled that for you.

Hello! I tried to open a support ticket but the cPanel site said I had to go through my host. I was working with them on the elevation so I asked them about it. They said that because I went from 110 to 120 it wasn't possible. I wasn't buying it, I found the cPanel article saying the migration should happen automatically.
My workaround was to poke around my cPanel backup I took from before the elevation. I found the .ics file of the user in question and manually imported using Roundcube in user's email account. It took quite a while but it appears to have everything up to the date of the backup. Hope this helps anyone else!

I'm glad you found a good workaround!
