Block automatic update of MySQL version
AnsweredHi ! Please excuse my english.
Regarding this article https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/24546938662039-Upstream-issue-MySQL-8-0-38-does-not-start-Segmentation-Fault
I learned that I need to downgrade and install a blocker program.
Help desk from "Hostgator" (my provider) told me that I can use an alternative.
They told me to edit the file "/etc/cpupdate.conf" by setting "UPDATES=manual".
I opened the file, but I'm not sure if this only applies to MYSQL or does it applies to other thing too, so I wanted to ask you if it would be OK. I just would like to stop the MySQL version from update, not everything else.
Thanks!

Hey there! Editing that file would block all updates on the server, and not just MySQL.
