New lines are not permitted in crontab entries
I'm trying to add a cron job in cPanel but keep getting the error above. The job is
wget (my domain name)/?wpl_do_cronjobs=1
Any ideas why this is giving me grief? I even escaped the slashes

Hey there! If you just enter some plain text, do you also receive that error? I'm wondering if it's trying to interpret the /? as new line code.

It’s on the cPanel interface so I paste the code. Even when I type it in I get the same error

I understand that part, but I just wanted to confirm if you add plain text - just entering the word "test" in the cron job, does that also trigger the error?

Yes. Same thing

Interesting - I'm not able to reproduce this behavior on a test system. Could you create a ticket so this can be investigated?
