    Hey there!  The "connection refused" error on port 2096 is the most interesting portion of your notes - is that also what is shown in a browser when you try to connect?

    When you restart the cPanel service, do you see anything odd inside the main error log at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log that may give you more details?  I would expect something to show up in the log if the service isn't running, which is shown with the netstat command.

    Same error is shown on the browser. Now jetbackup has already helped me in resolving the issue but i saw something like this after they were done:

    ==> CONFIGURATION CHANGE: closing FD 3 (webmail, port 2095)
    ==> CONFIGURATION CHANGE: closing FD 4 (webmail_ssl, port 2096)

    when trying to restart:

    Any idea?

    That would seem to indicate there was a firewall rule that had closed the port, which would have kept the service from starting properly.

    Sorry this is coming late. Ion think there's any other firewall cos i have already disabled firewalld, uninstalled csf and imunify. Though its cool that the issue has been fixed
