Some of the server’s DNS resolvers fail to respond.
Hi everyone,
I am getting "Some of the server’s DNS resolvers fail to respond. " error on the new server and upon checking it I see that amazon and other sites fail to connect over IP6 that is added to my server on the setup.
I contacted my server provider and they said they are not supporting IP6 and I should remove it and I went to "WHM -> Resolver Configuration" and removed that Tertiary Resolver (looks like IP6) and save it and checked it a few times and it was not there.
Now, that was yesterday, This morning I woke up and I get the same error and I went to "WHM -> Resolver Configuration" and I see that Tertiary Resolver reappeared.
How do I remove this and get rid of the error?

Hey there! I would manually edit the /etc/resolv.conf file on the system to remove the resolver that you don't wish to use, as that should permanently remove it from the configuration.

I've checked that file now and there is no Tertiary Resolver.
Hmm, I will check tomorrow morning again but I got a feeling it will reappear again like last night.0 -
Interesting - I haven't seen those randomly reappear so I would let your host know about that.

I've spoken to host support and they say I should disable IP6 with these steps.

Not sure if that will be safe?0 -
I don't see why that wouldn't be a safe procedure, especially if your host recommended it.
