Update preferences
Hello,
I'm using the "Stable Release Tier" in the Update Preferences. The server is still running the old CentOS7/CloudLinux7
Im currently on 110.0.10-version. I tried to manually update a while ago but was blocked.
It it safe to set the Update preferences to the LTS-tier? And will I then be able to upgrade the system safely?
Thanks in advance!

CentOS 7 reached end of life last month and it's not getting any further updates. The last supported version is 112 so on LTS tier you should be able to update to this version but an OS upgrade is required to bring cPanel up to date (latest version: 120)

With CloudLinux 7 you are stuck with version 110:
https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/cpanel-product/product-versions-and-the-release-process/#extended-lifecycle-support-els-programAll CentOS 7 and CloudLinux 7 servers on cPanel version 110 are enrolled in the ELS program. These servers will continue to receive critical security updates from July 1, 2024 through January 1, 2026 to minimize risks to the hosting environment. cPanel & WHM servers that qualify will receive critical security updates for the operating system. These servers will also receive critical security updates and technical support for cPanel & WHM version 110.
