Restore account backup file to /home2

Hi all,

I made a cPanel backup file from server1 and would like to restore it on server2

During the account restore can we specify to restore to /home2 instead of /home? This is due to /home2 has a larger partition and there's no enough space for /home

  Hey there!  The cPanel account creation tool will automatically detect which partition has the most space when you create a new account.  In the very first option in WHM, you'll see Basic WebHost Manager Setup, you'll see these two options, both configured to do what you're looking for by default:

  "Enter the location where you wish for new users’ home directories to be created. By default all directories matching the "Home Directory Prefix" are checked for available disk space and the directory with the most free space will be used."

  "Additional home directories matching the following value will also be used for new home directory creations. (Leaving this value blank disables the feature.) Only mount points are considered. This option only takes one value."

  So you shouldn't need to do any special work in order to have the account restore to /home2 on your system.
