Saving Ace Editor Options
Hi, i know there have been several if not alot of topics relating to the Ace Editor. Most of them are really old and so i wanted to get current information.
In specific i would like to know how to save the options i choose when i change the settings menu config values.
Here are the steps.
- First go into file manager then select a file to edit.
- Click edit and while inside that file press Ctrl + , (control and , [comma] same time)
- This will open up the ace editor options menu on the sidebar.
- Change the theme for example (the page theme will change automatically)
Now the problem is that you cant save that setting, if you close the file edit and open another file to edit, its back to default theme.
How can i change the default theme, is there a file in the install i can change to do this?

Hey hey! There is no permanent way to keep those changes persistent across a session. Another user posted a workaround here:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/71687519/how-to-change-cpanel-code-editor-theme-for-permanent
but I would recommend submitting a feature request over at features.cpanel.net if you'd like to see a more official solution in the product.

Awesome thanks :)
Ill submit it. I looked at that work around, i think i will wait, just the name injector bothers me :)
I also think that this would solve the issue as well.

Adding a dark mode wouldn't change anything related to the File Manager system. I did see your request come in and I'll see if I can get that in front of a team soon!
