fullbackup via SSH with reseller user

Hey there!  This may or may not be possible as it will depend on what level of access your reseller has been given by the server's owner.  If you have access to the "/scripts/pkgacct" command you would be able to create the backup over SSH.  If not, you'll need to contact the server admin and see if they can provider you with an alternative means to perform that work.

    Okay,
In light of this, I have some questions, such as:

1- My reseller does not have access to the "/scripts/pkgacct" script
My question: is it possible to grant access to the "/scripts/pkgacct" script to the reseller, and if possible, will the script only have permission to run in accounts that are within the reseller?
Or will it be available for other accounts that are not in my reseller

I did some additional testing with this and while the reseller user *does* have access to the pkgacct tool, they don't have access to the cPanel data files necessary to create the package.

At this time, there are no supported backup tools available to resellers.  All backups are created by the root user, although they can choose which cPanel accounts can be backed up.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your help. I suggest a tool for managing full backups for resellers in the next versions of whm/cpanel.

Could you add that request over at features.cpanel.net, or would you like me to submit that for you?

I'm not sure what "send it to me" means - you can either got o features.cpanel.net and use the "submit" button at the top, or I can make a request for you on your behalf.
