Unable to add IPV6 to WHM due "The address is not bound to this server".
AnsweredI'm just getting into the fantastic world of IPV6. I've read all the cPanel documentation and yet I'm stuck on something very simple.
I can't add the IPV6 I defined for shared hosting to basic setup.
When I try to save the IP address I get the following message (real values changed):
Invalid Shared Virtual Host IPv6 Address value: “2000:A000:B000:C000::10” (The address is not bound to this server.). This setting will not be updated.
My server responds to IPV6 ping to the first address 2000:A000:B000:C000::1
I have reserved several IPV6 addresses and setup a range as it says in https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360052044074-When-and-How-to-reserve-an-IPv6-address-for-use-by-Basic-Setup-and-DNS-Servers
Any idea?

Remove the IPv6 address from the interface, then add it under Basic WebHost Manager Setup:

Thanks Dennis, this was the solution.
You must add the IPv6 address that you added to the IPV6ADDR line in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file.
I used 2000:A000:B000:C000::1 and it works.

I'm glad that worked well for you!
